How we help you

Our services take young students and athletes the whole way to a school in the USA or Canada. We help with choosing a school, getting a student visa, negotiating the highest possible scholarship and settling into a new life across the ocean. What we know did not come from textbooks or YouTube videos. We have lived all of it and we know exactly what works, what to avoid and how to make the most of every opportunity.

Service 0101

A thorough explanation of studying and playing sport in the USA and Canada

We explain everything you need to know about the school system and combining study with sport.

The American and Canadian school and sport systems can be confusing at first. We explain the differences between high schools and universities and between the levels of sport, such as the NCAA, NAIA, U Sports and Junior College. We also show you how sport can easily be combined with study without either one having to take a back seat.

Service 0202

Choosing the right school and team

We find a school and a team that are a challenge you can meet.

Every student and every athlete needs something different. We look at your level, your experience, your academic results and your goals, and on that basis we look for schools and teams where you can keep improving while still having a realistic chance of establishing yourself. The right school means something completely different for each person.

Service 0303

Building a profile that catches coaches' eyes

We present you to coaches and schools so they see straight away what you can do and where you want to go.

We build your complete player profile with everything coaches, scouts and admissions staff need to know. We include your athletic experience, statistics, results and academic achievements, and edit your highlight video to the official standards. We then present the profile to coaches, scouts and schools so they have all the essentials in one place and can quickly see what you could bring to their team and their school.

Service 0404

Negotiating the best sports and academic scholarship

We help you negotiate the scholarship you deserve.

Offers vary considerably between schools and between players. We look at the specific offer, compare it with what is usual in our experience for similar players, and advise you when and how it is worth negotiating the terms. The aim is not to push the coach but to find an arrangement that matches your athletic and academic value.

Service 0505

Full preparation of your school application

We take you through filling in your school application properly and on time.

We take you through the whole high school or university application. We help with translating your school reports and completing the application itself. We explain how to write the required essays and advise your current teachers on how to prepare your references. We go through the whole process together and make sure everything is correct, on time, and presents you and what you can offer the school as well as possible.

Service 0606

Getting the US F1 student visa

We explain every step needed to obtain a student visa.

We help you through the entire student visa process. We go through the DS-160 with you, explain how to obtain the I-20 and pay the SEVIS fee. We show you how to book an appointment at the embassy and prepare you for the interview itself. Together we go through what to take with you, what you may be asked and how to prepare, so that you know exactly what to expect.

Service 0707

Preparation for language exams and the SAT/ACT

We build a study plan to reach the score you need.

First we work out whether you need to sit the SAT or ACT at all, which work much like the Czech SCIO tests. If you do, we help you pick a suitable date and prepare for it. For the Duolingo or TOEFL language exam we provide the materials you need and build a study plan tailored to you, so that you reach the score required by the schools you are applying to.

Service 0808

Choosing reliable health insurance

We find the cheapest policy that still covers everything you need.

We look at the requirements of your particular school and explain what health insurance you need. We compare the options the school accepts and help you choose the one with the best balance of price and cover. We also explain what to do if you need medical care, and help you make sense of the terms, the limits and the documents required.

Service 0909

Preparing for interviews with coaches

We prepare you for the questions coaches ask and advise you what to ask them.

We prepare you for the questions coaches ask most often and go through how to talk about your athletic and academic profile. We also show you what you should be asking, so that you find out everything that matters about the team, the school and the coach. A practice interview can be part of the preparation, so that you go into the real conversation prepared and confident.

Service 1010

Finding additional funding for your studies

We show you where to look for further financial support from sponsors and foundations.

A sports or academic scholarship does not have to be the only way to fund studying and playing sport abroad. We also look at independent scholarship programmes, sponsors, foundations and other sources of financial support, such as the Bakala and Kellner Foundations. We help you find out what you are entitled to and where it is worth applying, so that you can afford the whole thing.

Service 1111

Paperwork for the Czech and Slovak authorities

We help you get your studies recognised by the Czech and Slovak authorities.

We help with the paperwork needed for study in the USA or Canada to be recognised for the purposes of state social and health insurance cover in Czechia or Slovakia. We explain how to notify your health insurer about studying abroad, what documents to provide and what to watch for before you leave and while you are studying. We also go through how to demonstrate that your studies abroad meet the conditions for recognition in Czechia or Slovakia.

Service 1212

Recognition of studies and diploma nostrification for Czechia and Slovakia

We make sure your degree from abroad counts at home too.

We explain when studies or a diploma from abroad need to be recognised, when that is possible, and how the process works in both Czechia and Slovakia. We help you prepare the documents, make sense of the requirements and find out where to file the application. We take you through the full nostrification of your diploma if you need it for further study or for work.

Service 1313

Access to a network of athletic and academic advisers

You will not be on your own. We connect you with people who have been at that school or are there now.

Even before you choose a school we can connect you with our former clients and other students and athletes who are studying there or have done in the past. You get first-hand accounts of the school, the team, the coaches and daily life. You can use the same contacts while you are out there, whenever you need advice from someone who knows exactly what you are going through.

Service 1414

Practical preparation: what to pack, SIM card and bank account

The practical things to sort out before leaving for the USA or Canada.

We help you prepare for daily life in the USA or Canada. We go through what to pack and what is not worth taking. We explain how to choose a mobile operator and sort out a SIM card so that you are not left without internet when you land. We also advise you on when it makes sense to open a bank account and what else is worth sorting out for daily life in a new country. We show you which of these are best arranged before you fly, so that you are not dealing with everything at once on arrival.

Service 1515

Support through the professional league draft

From the school team to a professional club.

If you want to go on to play professionally after school, we help you prepare the next step. We connect you with agents, mentors and people from the professional game and advise you on how to prepare for the transition. Whether you are aiming for MLS, the WNBA, the NHL or another league, we connect you with people who will show you how.

Service 1616

Finding work and internships after graduation

We explain the work and internship options that let you stay in the USA or Canada after school.

We look at internship and work options in the USA during and after your studies, including student work permits such as OPT and CPT. Together we improve your LinkedIn profile so that you have a realistic chance of succeeding. We help you look for openings in the field that interests you, and show you what options you have and what to watch out for when job hunting as an international student.

"

From the very first contact we were met with helpful, fast, reliable and highly professional service, which did not let up even after our son started school, when details still had to be worked out with the school from time to time. They give their clients help and support well beyond what was contracted.

Marcela Hartmannová · mother of Jan Hartmann

Nichita Cusnir · student and athlete
"

I would like to thank Johana and Martin for their excellent work and their help finding a suitable high school in the USA and handling the formalities needed to get a student admitted (and there were plenty). Both were very helpful and proactive. It is not straightforward with individual sports, but they secured offers from several schools.
